"ARTIST BIO: Kathy McGraw designer/illustrator has designed print materials and branding for a wide range of businesses and organizations for over ten years. Her clients have ranged from non-profits as well as large corporations. Kathy's passion for design and illustration led her to create KM Graphiques, a friendly design boutique offering creative branding, inspirational greeting cards and other printed goods. Kathy started down her own path piecing together simple concepts that were important to her - love, peace, nature, and truth. Looking inward, and at patterns and textures from other cultures, she strives to create socially-conscious work that promotes a better and more just world. ABOUT THE POSTER: The poster was inspired by the unwavering faith and hope of the Haitian people in the face of unimaginable hardship. The hands are raised up in supplication - and the prayers are being answered in a shower of hope. The texture at the bottom is a representation of the cracked ground of Port-au-Prince. "
